Adding Jessica to the Flag League.

I have never been a big fan (well, a fan at all) of Jessica Simpson. I disliked her from the get fo because she basically ruined an America song, I think it is Ventura Highway, for one of her early hits. Well, this changes my mind:

Hat tip’s to Wizbang which led me to Gateway Pundit. Now, if I could only get the big folks to take note of the American Flag League.

Flag Day 2005

Filed at 10:30 am under AFL Business by William Teach

00160 Flag Day is Tuesday, 6/14. It was first celebrated in 1877, which was the 100th Anniversary of our Flag, hence the cutie pie with the 37 Star Flag.

The Pledge of Allegience was first said in 1892, the 400th Anniversary of Columbus discovering America.

Woodrow Wilson established Flag Day as a national celebration in 1916. Congress officially recognized Flag Day by passing the National Flag Day Bill in 1949, during President Harry Truman’s administration.
